Lernik Aleksanyan: No need for CSTO intervention
At the moment there is no need for Collective Security Treaty Organization’s (CSTO) intervention in the tense situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, said Lernik Aleksanyan, Armenian parliamentary deputy, member of the faction of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (HHK).
“Of course, there is a danger of war, but CSTO’s intervention is not necessary at the current stage,” Aleksanyan told reporters.
Member of Armenia’s Public Council Arshak Sadoyan said for his part that Russia is interested in escalation of the border situation.
“Arms sales will grow in this case,” he noted.
