Visit to “Mother Armenia” Memorial Complex
On March 24 the delegation of the “Memory Relay Campaign” of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly accompanied by the RA NA Vice President Hermine Naghdalyan visited “Mother Armenia” Memorial Complex. On behalf of the RA National Assembly and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary, they laid wreaths at the tomb of the “Unknown Soldier” and put flowers bowing at the eternal fire, honoured in silence the memory of the Armenian sons who died in the Great Patriotic War during 1941-1945.
In the solemn conditions the particle of the eternal fire was moved to a special capsule. By the decision of the CIS Parliamentary Assembly on April 16 the particles of the inextinguishable fire eternalizing the memory of the “Unknown Soldier” being in the countries of the Post-Soviet territory, will be moved to Saint Petersburg, where they will be brought together, symbolizing the united victory against fascism.
