Armenia is seeking funds, but not as much as it is rumored
Certain Russian circles are actively discussing reports on Armenia’s alleged attempts to get a US $1.5-2bn loan from the EurAsEC fund.
Gohar Poghosyan, Spokesperson for Armenia’s Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, told the newspaper that Armenia’s government is discussing various loan programs with all donors.
All the negotiations are within the law, which means that any talks about a US $1.5-2bn loan are out of the question. EurAsEC does not grant loans nor do ministers perform any relevant functions. Armenia is hosting active discussions with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) Commission members, ministers, on their relevant activities, Ms Poghosyan said to Zhoghovurd.
In other words, Armenia is seeking funds, but not as much as it is rumored.
