New inspiration for Yerevan metro
The construction of the metro-station in Ajapnyak is not behind the mountains. According to the memorandum recently signed between Yerevan Municipality, RA Finance Ministry and the Asian development bank the monitoring groups each week visit and carry out investigations. As the journalist of Aysor.am was told from the press service of Metro named after Karen Demirchyan, the amount of the money will be decided according to those results and in autumn they will sign the agreement on the credit for building 2 stations in Ajapnyak .
“The second round after finishing the construction of Ajapnyak stations, will be the construction of the direction from Komitas to Masiv, which unfortunately is a desired but a far utopia”,- said the press secretary of Metro.
The constructions are expected to start in 2010.
Yerevan Metro was put into operation in 1981 on March. The last station (Charbakh) has been put into operation since1996. At present it is of 12.1 lengths, it has 10 stations and only 30 carriages of 70 are operating.
