Edirne city in Turkey flooded
Because of the reach precipitation the Turkish Edirne city was flooded. As Rosbalt informs referring to TRT the level of the Merich and Tunja rivers reached to a critical level.
The offices and the buildings at the riverbanks have been flooded. On the river Merich a boat was turned over which was taking 15 people to Greece. 7 people are said to be lost, 8 are rescued.
The nearest villages of Edirne city have also been flooded.
The rise of Merich and Tunja rivers are connected with the opening of water preservation sluices in Bulgaria.
