Yerevan hosts First International Nursing Congress
VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of “Mobile TeleSystems” OJSC, is glad to announce the start of the First International Nursing Congress of Armenia. VivaCell-MTS is the general sponsor of the Congress. The Company provided AMD 10 million for the organizational expenses of the Congress.
The Medical Congress was presided by the Minister of Health of Armenia Harutyun Kushkyan, the Chairman of the Parliament's Standing Committee on Health Care, Maternity and Childhood Ara Babloyan and VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
The Congress was attended by the friend of Armenia Baroness Caroline Cox, the Vice President of the Royal College of Nursing of the United Kingdom. Famous international experts in nursing also attended the event.
The Congress aims at bringing together various perspectives about global nursing leadership's development, challenges and direction that impact on nurses and their ability to lead modeling of care, to change the practice or service for quality health outcome of the patients as well advancing the nursing profession.

The organizers of the Congress are: the Armenian Association of Nursing Administrators presided by Alina Kushkyan, (MD, PhD), Yerevan State Medical College Erebouni, in collaboration with Global Education Development Institute (GEDI).
