18-year-old rebel fighter shot dead Gaddafi
Libya's Col Muammar Gaddafi was killed in crossfire after being captured in his birthplace of Sirte, officials say, the BBC reports.
In an interview on the PBSNewsHour , a GlobalPost journalist in Tripoli says an 18-year-old rebel fighter has claimed he shot Gadhafi in the head after he was captured. That's still not confirmed, the usatoday.com reports.
Acting Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril said he had been shot in the head in an exchange between Gaddafi loyalists and National Transitional Council fighters.
He confirmed that Col Gaddafi, who had been taken alive, had died before reaching hospital, BBC reports.
