Armenian embassy in Georgia says no traffic jams on Georgian border so far
Armenian embassy in Georgia ruled out the information published by Shamshyan.com website that the Armenian drivers have become hostages in Upper Lars for days not having an opportunity to cross the border without giving a bribe.
The website reported that few kilometer long jams have been created and people remain there for already 3-4 days.
In the released statement the Armenian embassy reported that they have contacted with the leaderships of both Russian and Georgian check-points to clarify the information.
According to the Georgian side, no jams have been registered neither today nor few days ago. As to the Russian side, they informed about jams of trucks from November 11.
“The information that the Armenian drivers are on border for 3-4 days does not correspond to reality,” the embassy’s statement reads.
