Azerbaijan does not need Karabakh, but a frozen conflict: Alexander Lapshin
The European court is examining my lawsuit against Azerbaijan, blogger Alexander Lapshin told at a news conference in Yerevan today.
“Azerbaijan is trying to use corruptive and political levers for not allowing it as it will be a serious blow to them if the court makes a decision of their attempt to murder me,” Lapshin said, adding that the court has sent all the necessary documents to Azerbaijan and gave three months for a feedback.
Lapshin described the story with him as an attempt of the Azerbaijani side to solve domestic issues.
“They need a character of an enemy to divert the attention of people from domestic issues. They want to create a stereotype that Armenia is their biggest enemy,” he said, voicing opinion that they do not need Karabakh but a frozen conflict which gives them an opportunity to put all the blame of illegalities in the country on Armenia.
Speaking about his visit to Armenia, Lapshin said that he is going to stay here by the end of February and applied to the Defense Ministry for visiting bordering villages and taking photos.
