Armenia to provide humanitarian assistance to Iran
Armenia will provide humanitarian assistance to Iran, Emergency Situation Minister Felix Tsolakyan said at the cabinet sitting today.
“Yesterday I met with the Iranian ambassador. We have decided to provide humanitarian assistance to Iran regarding the damage the floods have caused there,” Tsolakyan said.
He said the works will be organized today and tomorrow.
“The issue is that we are organizing it via Russian-Armenian humanitarian center which will also have its contribution to the assistance. We are going to send technical means, vehicles, rescuers,” the minister said.
He said no bill is necessary just PM’s decision regarding the trip.
“I think this is very important assistance for our friendly country and if there is an issue of urgency I think if calculations be ready today, we may organize the process as soon as possible,” deputy PM Tigran Avinyan said.
