President’s staff proposes renaming presidential residence on Baghramyan 26 into Republic House
Head of staff of Armenia’s president Emil Tarasyan has applied to the mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan to give another name to the presidential residence.
Presidential press office told Aysor.am that they propose to name the presidential residence Republic House. The writ addressed to the mayor also notes that a working room has been separated in the president’s residence for the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and an opportunity to use halls.
Besides, Hayastan All Armenia Fund’s office is also deployed in the presidential residence.
“The staff of Armenia’s president is planning to conduct different cultural events in the halls of Baghramyan 26 administrative building, including concerts, exhibitions, presentations. As far as it is being spoken about presidential residence and its reinterpretation it is offered to rename the building into Republic House,” the statement says.
Presidential press office told Aysor.am that mayor Hayk Marutyan responded to the writ, noting that the issue will be presented for the discussion at April 23 session of Yerevan City Council.
