Draft anti-corruption strategy to be presented for public discussion in near future: deputy minister
Deputy justice minister Tigran Khachikyan received today delegation led by international anti-corruption strategy and monitoring specialist Mathew Murray who is in Armenia at the invitation of USAID Transitional Initiative office.
During the meeting the parties discussed a number of issues on fighting against corruption.
Welcoming the guests the deputy minister briefed on the anti-corruption strategy worked out by the ministry and the action plan stemming from it.
Matthew Murray stressed that his mission is to help the U.S. government in assisting Armenia in working out efficient anti-corruption program.
The international expert registered that the fight against corruption is a global issue and attached significance to international cooperation in fighting against corruption networks.
Khachikyan stressed that the strategic program worked out by the ministry involves many sectors and envisages implementation of over 70 events.
The deputy minister said that in near future the draft anti-corruption strategy will be presented for public discussion and all the effective proposals will be registered.
At the end of the meeting the parties expressed readiness to close cooperation in fighting against corruption.
