International Republican Institute conducts another public opinion survey to learn people’s attitude toward state institutions and the church
International Republican Institute (IRI) has conducted a public opinion survey in Armenia in May to learn the people’s attitude toward the state institutions, church and government are facing.
The results of the poll have been published on July 8 on the website of the organization.
The index on trust over state institutions, including the church have registered interesting picture.
In particular, 81% of the participants of the polls said they institute trust toward president’s institute and 13% said they have distrust toward it.
The second comes army with 80% and 15% ratio.
The prime minister comes the third with 72% stating about trust toward him and 24% distrust. Armenian Apostolic Church comes after the PM enjoying 71% trust and 23 distrust.
This ratio has noticeably changed since last November. The trust toward the PM has reduced by 13% reaching 72%.
The trust toward army has remained unchanged (81%). Unlike the others the president improved his position with 3 points.
The noticeable progress has been registered by the church with 11%.
Regarding the transparency, the prime minister had 74% support last November, the president had 65% and the church had 56%. With the new poll, the PM’s position has remained unchanged, while the president again improved his position (80%) and the church too (66%).
