Residents of Jermuk address letter to PM, demand meeting with him
The residents of Jermuk applied to the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan asking for an urgent meeting.
“After the revolution our expectation was to make our voice heard and the Amulsar program be immediately stopped. Clearly understanding that the new authorities have inherited numerous issues and the complication of the mining issues we suspended the mine construction works if we have not done that the program would have inevitable results. With this we have created opportunity to gain time and get familiarized with all the sides of the issue and find the solution of the issue,” Karen Margaryan recited the letter t the protest action in Jermuk.
The residents expressed conviction that the prime minister is standing by the community which trusts him and defends the interests of people which contradict the interests of corporations.
“We trust you and we are convinced that if you learn the truth you will not even think for a moment and will quit Amulsar program,” the residents said in the letter.
They also demanded a meeting with the head of the government to personally present their demands and not allow their demands be speculated by anti-revolutionary forces.
