Row of repressions starts in Armenia, violence used against people: environmentalist
Environmentalist Anna Shahnazaryan stated that they are not allowed to conduct public discussion in the National Assembly garden after meeting held on Baghramyan 26 with the participation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We decided to conduct public discussion at the National Assembly garden which is a public place while the police officers have not allowed us to,” she said.
The environmentalist considered this step illegal, noting that according to the police stemming from security issues the gates of the garden were closed.
“There are no legal grounds for doing it. It is a public garden, this people may enter there, drink water. It appears that it is allowed to wash carpet here but not allowed to conduct discussions. A row of repressions have started, people want to enter public territory but violence is being used against them,” she said.
