Country’s macroeconomic level not satisfactory: minister
Investments expectations are not satisfactory, Armenia’s minister of economy Tigran Khachatryan told the reporters after cabinet sitting today.
“We have not reached satisfactory level regarding macro economy. We had about 17% investment over GDP with the past year’s results which is not enough for ensuring lasting stable growth. The government must make this index exceed GDP’s 23% in five-year time,” he said.
The minister said the government’s priority will be increase of production efficiency in different sectors of economy.
Khachatryan also stressed necessity to specify few economic directions the production of which may reach billions of USD.
