No impediment to exploitation of Amulsar: Artsakh lawmaker
The expert conclusions over Amulsar mine exploitation published by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan inspire trust, Artsakh Homeland faction lawmaker Robert Ghahramanyan said, speaking to Aysor.am.
He said he believes in the conclusion and said he agrees that the mine may be exploited.
“I am just being guided with the information provided by the international expert organizations who said that the exploitation of the mine will not harm the environment and people’s health,” he said, adding that according to the conclusion, even in case of earthquake there will be a very small harm.
“They noted that even in case of natural disaster the harm will be so small that it cannot be even measured. So, I do not see any impediment. This is my opinion,” he said.
Speaking about the economic side of the issue, the Artsakh lawmaker stressed that though he is a lawyer in profession and cannot make any economic analyses, it is obvious that the safe exploitation of the mine will ensure additional entries to the Armenian budget.
