Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan urges Jermuk residents to open roads to Amulsar
The more the country’s rating is high, the cheaper money the country may attract and our citizens may get cheaper loans, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in live video on Facebook, reminding that international Moody’s Investors Service rating organization improved Armenia’s position in its August report.
“If the situation over Amulsar is not solved it may result in reduction of Armenia’s rating. The consequences will be felt in the process of provision of loans. If we say that we do not allow exploitation of Amulsar, a simple question raises - do we do it from environmental concerns? If so, why do we allow exploitation of Teghut?” the prime minister asked.
The head of the government urged residents of Jermuk to lift the blockade of roads taking to Amulsar.
“I officially ask residents of Jermuk to lift the blockade of all the roads taking to Amulsar mine,” he said.
