Lawmaker Arman Babajanyan to keep his mandate
Lawmaker Arman Babajanyn who recently stated about leaving Bright Armenia faction stated at the NA about his intention to keep the mandate.
Addressing the parliament the lawmaker said that the decision to leave the faction was very difficult.
“I am forced to leave my dear team with who I participated in the elections, overcame many challenges. The causes go deep and are not mainly agreed with the faction but with the general political system of the country. I am convinced that new Armenia the basis of which was put with the velvet revolution needs new political system, new political ideas and principles, new political mind. Unfortunately I have not seen it neither in Bright Armenia nor in other forces,” Babajanyan stated.
He said the political system in Armenia is infected creating crises in different sectors – in Constitutional Court, in the issue of transitional justice, in Amulsar issue.
“After a year and a half since the revolution we see toothless foreign policy carried out by Armenia. As a result of velvet revolution we continue conducting the policy of the former authorities in case when Armenia was to speak with the world with completely new agenda,” Babajanyan said.
The lawmaker stressed that he has decided to keep the mandate and be an independent lawmaker to do everything possible to consolidate forces, join their potential for the sake of Armenia.
