U.S. Ambassador to Armenia pays tribute to the victims of September 11 terrorist attack
Eighteen years have passed since the terrorist attack against the USA on September 11, 2001.
Two hijacked planes crashed into the North and South towers, respectively, of the World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan.
The attacks killed 2,996 people, injured over 6,000 others
In honor of U.S. Patriot Day, the Embassy’s Armenian and American staff observed a moment of silence as Ambassador Tracy and Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Laura Cooper paid tribute to the victims by laying flowers at a memorial devoted to those who were killed or injured in the attacks 18 years ago, U.S. Embassy representative reported.
