Three people die in tragic accident in Armenia’s Ararat region
Three people have died in a road accident in Armenia’s Ararat region on September 16 at about 4 a.m.
The 911 emergency service received a call that a BMW car and a semi-trailer truck KamAZ had collided on the 59th kilometer of Yerevan-Meghri highway, in the administrative area of Surenavan village.
As a result, a fire had broken out in the car, shamshyan.com reports.
Firefighters put out the fire finding completely burned down dead bodies of the driver and two passengers of the BMW.
According to the police, the BMW had gone onto the opposite lane and collided with the aforesaid truck and caused the fire.
Those assembled at the scene were saying that the car driver was returning from Iran, the passengers were mother and daughter, and they lived in Proshyan village of Kotayk Province.
The source says the victims are Kristine Martirosyan, 51, and Lusine Martirosyan, 29, and the car driver was Varos Markosyan.
The truck driver, resident of Yerevan, and his 24-year-old passenger were taken to hospital. Doctors said their condition is satisfactory.
