Hraparak: Police chief Valeriy Osipyan resigns
Chief of Armenia’s Police Valeriy Osipyan has written resignation application, daily Hraparak writes, adding that the turn comes to defense minister Davit Tonoyan.
According to the paper, the application will be published on Wednesday.
Hraparak writes at the yesterday’s session of the Security Council, the participants discussed the resignation of NSS director Artur Vanetsyan. Besides, Pashinyan talked about opening Amulsar mine, instructing chief of the police to open the way to the mine and support the exploitation of Amulsar.
Citing its sources, Hraparak writes that Osipyan told about the impossibility of smooth implementation of the instruction and talked about the dangers of using force.
The statement of the top police official angered the PM who stated that if the chief of the police is unable to carry out the operation it will be done by the head of the internal troops, deputy chief of the police Vahe Ghazaryan.
The paper says as a result of the conversation Osipyan announced about leaving his post.
