Give us opportunity to solve existing issues in turn: Pashinyan meets mothers of killed servicemen
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with mothers and spouses of killed servicemen protesting before government building from early in the morning.
Addressing them, the prime minister stressed that after becoming the prime minister of the country one of the first decisions was to pay the families of servicemen killed not only after January 2017 but after 2014.
“When I became the prime minister the Servicemen Protection Fund was paying for the cases registered after January 2017 while one of the my first decisions was to pay for the cases after 2014,” the head of the government stated.
He said a month after the decision was made few mothers of killed servicemen approached him in Yerablur telling how offended they were from the prime minister as their children were killed before 2014.
“I told them that the government is working in that direction. Just seven months after it a decision was made to start paying for the cases registered after January 1, 2008,” the prime minister said, adding that just in a year it became possible to pay for the cases registered nine years ago.
The prime minister said by paying the 1,000 AMD from every salary of registered employees it will be possible to reach to 90s, for it he said the employees must be registered officially.
“I also have one request, please, whenever we solve one issue, let your reaction be not an offense – why their issues were solved and ours were not but instead you must hail the fact that a government has been formed in Armenia which moves forward by solving the issues of all. Give us opportunity to solve the issues in turn,” Nikol Pashinyan stated.
