France closely follows Robert Kocharyan’s trial: French-Armenian lawyer says Macron told him in response letter
The trial of Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan is agreed with the will of person only, French-Armenian lawyer of the second president Sevak Torosyan told the reporters today.
“This person is a political person, he is not a judge, he is prime minister. The whole trial is agreed with the will of the prime minister,” he said.
The lawyer said that the example of judge Davit Grigoryan who made a decision to release Kocharyan is in front of the eyes of all the judges.
“Those who will try to make a decision that will not correspond to the wish of the prime minister must know that they will face search, criminal case and dismissal. If I was a judge I would think so,” he said.
Sevak Torosyan stressed that all the judges here pray not to deal with Kocharyan’s case.
“How much courage you must have to say that the arrest is not fair,” the lawyer said, adding that he addressed a letter to president of France Emmanuel Macron.
“Less than in a month a response came from Macron which read – be assured that France is closely following the trial of president Kocharyan,” the lawyer said.
