Students stop strike temporarily, future actions to be clear on Monday
The young people and students conceded to the calls of the lecturers to temporarily stop the strikes, YSU students’ program coordinator Edward Galstyan told the reporters.
He stressed that different meetings continue and the format of the fight will be clear on Monday.
“We think that the Armenian language, literature and history classes are not effective and realize the necessity of changes,” he said, adding that the classes must meet the demands of the faculties.
“We are also aware of the issues, but their existence does not mean withdrawal of these subjects from the list. Many students of different faculties do not know Armenian language well enough, the same is with the Armenian history,” Galstyan said, stressing that they demand healthy discussions which will result in the resolution of the situation.
