Sadyr Japarov wins 79.23% of votes in presidential election in Kyrgyzstan

Sadyr Japarov won 79.23% of the vote in the early presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan, the Central Election Commission reported on Saturday.

"79.23% of voters supported Japarov," the statement said, the turnout in the January 10 elections was 39.33%.

The actions and policies of the Government of Iran - including its proliferation and development of missiles and other asymmetric and conventional weapons capabilities, its network and campaign of regional aggression, its support for terrorist groups, and the malign activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and its surrogates - continue to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States," the statement reads.

Russia’s daily COVID-19 case tally exceeds 11,300

Moscow recorded 2,150 new coronavirus cases in the past day. Some 986 daily COVID-19 cases were confirmed in St. Petersburg, 693 in the Moscow Region, 385 in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, 283 in the Voronezh Region and 271 in the Rostov Region.
