R. Petrosyan:“No direct orders have been made on that occasion”
Vice President of the NA Human Rights Defense and Public Affairs Committee Rafik Petrosyan denied the news as if a criminal case was opened against Gagik Beglaryan by the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
“There has not been a concrete order on that occasion,” R. Petrosyan stated and noticed that “The President of the Armenian Republic as the head of the Republic is responsible for the normal functioning of all the wings of the power.”
According to Rafik Petrosyan if a statement appears in the press and it becomes a pretext for a criminal case then the President, not only as a president but also as a citizen, has the right to come up with a suggestion, and to open a criminal case as well.
But in this case in particular, according to Rafik Petrosyan, no such a thing happened.
