MFA: Genocide centennial events start in Canada
The Armenian Genocide centennial commemorative events started in Canada on September 13 with a concert of the famous Molinary quartet in Pollack Hall of McGill University in Montreal, Armenian Foreign Ministry said.
In his opening speech, Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan underlined the importance of the Armenian Genocide’s international recognition as a necessary condition of the prevention of crimes against humanity.
500 spectators enjoyed works by Armenian composers Aram Khachatryan, Tigran Mansuryan, Levon Chavushyan and Jivan Ter-Tadevosyan.
