Rembrandt’s etching hidden in university bathroom
An original Rembrandt etching was hidden in a bathroom cabinet at Catholic University of America and became a part of a new exhibit. The exhibit is called "Fine Lines: Discovering Rembrandt and Other Old Masters at Catholic University."
Rev. David O'Connell found the print nearly ten years ago when he was searching for paper towels in the bathroom. O'Connell learnt the etching and made out Rembrandt’s sign on it. He kept this finding for years, and then last year, finally asked the university archivist if it could be a real Rembrandt. It gave to the world this finding.
