H. Naghdalyan: Nothing new was said at rally of trio
Nothing new was said during the October 24 rally of three non-pro-government parliamentary forces of Armenia, except for the speech of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) leader Gagik Tsarukyan, the vice speaker of the Armenian parliament Hermine Naghdalyan told journalists today.
According to her, the authorities also believe that there are numerous problems in the country, but they prefer to solve these problems step by step.
“We know that there are numerous problems in our country and they are mostly related to the social situation, corruption, justice and other spheres. There are discontented masses and it is the right of our colleagues from the opposition to work with them and raise their problems. At the same time I also believe the authorities have some obligations and they should deal with these problems step by step,” H. Naghdalyan said.
As for BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s statements about change of power, Ms. Naghdalyan said she sees nothing terrible in that.
“The goal of opposition forces is to criticize and work with the protest masses. It is a normal process in a democratic state,” she noted.
In the deputy’s words, she does not see any tendency towards a change of power. Yet she noted that yesterday’s rally of the trio was attended by many.
“I think the number of the rally participants was equivalent to social and other problems of our country. Moreover, the number of people who live in hard conditions, are dissatisfied and have problems is much greater, but it doesn’t determine anything,” Hermine Naghdalayn said, noting that Armenia’s authorities do their best to ease the existing problems.
