Armenian prime minister receives protesting businessmen
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today a group of businessmen who have been staging protests against the law on turnover tax, according to the press office of the government. H. Abrahamyan said that the government wants small and medium businesses to operate normally and contribute to economic development. He stressed that the government will not take any steps which do not stem from society’s interests. The businessmen proposed that the law be applied on a voluntary basis. The prime minister said all the proposals will be closely examined.
