Health ministry: Acute respiratory disease on the decline in Armenia
Daily monitoring of flu and acute respiratory disease (ARD) is conducted in Armenia. The monitoring results show that as of February 22, 2015 the number of ARD cases declined by 2,050 as compared with the same period of 2014, according to the press service of Armenian Health Ministry.
Artavazd Vanyan, Director of Health Ministry’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said at a press conference today that on the instructions of the health minister, control over flu and ARD has been tightened in the country since October, 2014.
He said that at the moment there are no patients suffering from complications after contracting pneumonia or ARD. Those who were hospitalized were in condition of medium gravity and are undergoing treatment.
