Armenian church observes Great Thursday today
The Armenian Apostolic Church marks Great Thursday today in commemoration of the last supper of Jesus.
The churches across the country serve a holy mass in the morning, Qahana.am reports.
The day, marked as a church feast on the Christian calendar, is also known as Holy Thursday. After an evening mass, the churches observe the Foot Washing Rite.
Later in the evening, the Order of Holy and Saving Passion is observed to symbolize the Lord’s crucifixion and burial.
