Gorayk residents believe Amulsar exploitation contains no dangers
Head of Gorayk community Ashot Aghajanyan claims that if there are suspicions over the operation of Lydian, they are free to compare the work of the Lydian with the other mines.
“They can compare, and they will see they are very far from working like Lydian,” Aghajanyan told Aysor.am.
He stressed that Lydian has put a concrete issue not to pollute the nature.
Former head of the community Rustam Arustamyan said the concerns over the exploitation of mine are false.
“The government stated from the beginning that it would not allow it to work until it learns about the dangers. The government funded the company to do the work and people gave their conclusion. People are well aware of it,” he said, adding that Amulsar exploitation does not contain the dangers the people are talking about.
