Level of restoration of harm caused by corruption crimes unsatisfactory: Armenia's PM
Armenia has a political will to eradicate the corruption and is consistent in the issue, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the Anti-corruption policy council session.
The head of the government stressed that the level of restoration of harm caused to the state by corruption crimes is not on the desired level.
“The Investigation, examination of corruption crimes and especially the restoration of the harm caused by them do not proceed in the scale the public has right to expect,” he said, adding that it is agreed both wit subjective and objective reasons, among which are institutional issues.
“We must be consistent in this regard to reinforce the fight against corruption with the creation of new structures,” the prime minister said, adding that works have been conducted in that direction with the government having decided the strategy of the fight against corruption.
“The government will be consistent, compromises are exclude. We have put a political issue to form zero tolerance toward corruption,” the prime minister concluded.
