Yerevan Zoo director Ruben Khachatryan quits
Yerevan Zoo director Ruben Khachatryan has quitted his authorities.
He announced about it in a Facebook post.
He said that the recent events in the zoo and the passions over them and the attack of the stray dogs in which he did not exclude the human factor resulted in making the decision to quit his authorities as the director of the zoo.
He stressed that he made the decision following the proposal of the deputy Yerevan mayor Tigran Virabyan and expressed hope that his resignation will result in the end of the animal deaths and even attacks of the dogs.
“I officially stated that I have always been and will continue assisting the Yerevan Zoo as a friend, as team member and will have my contribution to the restoration and improvement of the Zoo,” he wrote.
