Students strike against decision on making Armenian language, Armenian history and Armenian literature subjects not mandatory in the universities
The students of the YSU Armenian Philology are striking against the decision on making Armenian language, Armenian history and Armenian literature subjects not mandatory in the universities.
“This is just a warning action. Let the ministry accept it as warning. I would urge the minister before making such decisions consult with specialists,” one of the students said.
The students stressed that the minister promised to change the quality of studies at schools but without doing it passes to other actions.
The student said that if the minister will not listen to the protest of students they will conduct protest actions in front of government, NA and ministry buildings.
“If it continues so let Arayik Harutyunyan who came walking leave walking. The only merit of Arayik Harutyunyan till now is that he passed Gyumri-Yerevan highway on foot,” the student said.
