Mothers of lost newborns gather outside Prosecutor General’s Office demanding Razmik Abrahamyan’s arrest
Mothers of newborns who became victims of director of maternity house Razmik Abrahamyan and lost their babies gathered in front of Prosecutor General’s office demanding Abrahamyan’s arrest.
Founder of Armenian Mothers NGO Haykuhi Khachatryan told the reporters their only demand is the arrest of Razmik Abrahamyan.
“On September 24 my child was abducted. Till now I have no information where my baby is. Examination is underway but nothing new is being revealed. Now we have gathered to demand Abrahamyan’s arrest and get explanations,” Khachatryan said.
She said Abrahamyan was present throughout the whole labor process and then even offered her a bribe of 1 million AMD.
“He wanted us keep silence. While studying the cases of the others, I have revealed that the others as well were offered 1 million AMD,” she said.
It has been reported earlier that director of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology Republican Institute company Razmik Abrahamyan was arrested in the sidelines of the criminal case relating to the illegal adoption of newborns by foreigners.
Yerevan court of general jurisdiction ruled Abrahamyan’s release from custody until the end of preliminary examination and denied the petition of the preliminary investigation body.
