If situation with coronavirus sharpens April referendum may be postponed: lawmaker
My Step faction lawmaker Hrachya Hakobyan does not exclude the possibility to postpone the referendum if the spread of coronavirus does not retreat in early April.
“If we feel that the situation is under control in April, the referendum may take place but if the situation sharpens its postponement may be discussed,” Hakobyan said.
Referring to the observation of Prosperous Armenia faction head Gagik Tsarukyan that the authorities did not take enough steps to prevent the penetration of coronavirus to Armenia, Hakobyan said, “What does it mean “did not take enough steps.” All the necessary steps were undertaken.
But as you see this notorious virus is trying to penetrate to all the places, like it happened with Armenia as well.”
As to the panic in Tsakhkadzor, the lawmaker said that there is no panic, stressing that days ago officials visited the resort town and witnessed no crisis.
