Armenia’s PM and other responsible officials must be subjected to responsibility for failing fight against corruption
The Prime Minister and a number of officials responsible for the sector have failed the fight against corruption and are trying to put the blame on all but not them, former director of the National Security Service, president of Hayrenik Party Artur Vanetsyan told Yerkir.am.
Vanetsyan noted that the officials must give explanations and be subjected to responsibility for the situation created in the country.
“I urge the parliamentary opposition – the PAP and Bright Armenia to immediately create ad hoc investigatory committee and bring quickly the prime minister and the responsible officials to the parliament and examine their actions and inaction and give necessary political assessment,” he said, adding that some officials must be subjected to criminal responsibility.
Artur Vanetsyan also highlighted the necessity of cooperation of all healthy forces.
Referring to the possibility of cooperation between Hayrenik and ARF-D, the head of the party said the two parties have cooperation agenda and it stems from the vital and security interests of the state.
