Ruling party has no decision on lifting Tsarukyan’s parliamentary immunity yet: Alen Simonyan
If I say now that My Step will vote for or against the motion of Attorney General on lifting Gagik Tsarukyan’s parliamentary immunity, it will mean that there is no use for Attorney General to come, vice speaker of Armenia’s parliament Alen Simonyan told the reporters today.
“The Attorney General must come and present on what grounds we must be for or against it. May be he comes and says such a thing that we cannot even vote for,” Simonyan said, convincing that there is no decision, and the authorities will act in accordance with the law.
Earlier today, Prosperous Armenia Party deputy Naira Zohrabyan said that a political decision has been made for the Attorney General come to the NA with the motion to lift Gagik Tsarukyan’s parliamentary immunity and engage him as defender.
