Student from Armenia’s State University of Economics tests positive for coronavirus
A coronavirus case has been recorded in Armenia’s State University of Economics.
“On September 2 one of the first-course students had fever and was sent home. The student tested positive. But we should note that the student was not attending the classes from September 2,” university’s public relations department official told Aysor.am.
Aysor.am has been told that another student from the same course had fewer too and sent home.
“Their studies are organized remotely. The university has informed the Armenian Association of Prevention of Diseases,” the official said, adding that no cases among lecturers have been confirmed.
The official from the university said that the studies in the universities were organized in accordance with the demands of the commandant.
“As to whether it may serve a basis for quitting the classes in the university, we would like to say that one case cannot serve a basis for such decision,” the official said.
