Turkey, Kazakhstan take step for strategic partnership
Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Turkey’s President Abdullah Gul signed Thursday an agreement on strategic partnership.
"We earlier had such an agreement, but now we have expanded and concretized it," the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, said at the press conference.
The President of Turkey, Abdullah Gul, said that the signed contract on strategic partnership is the unique document, as “Kazakhstan is the first Turkic state signed an agreement on strategic partnership with Turkey.”
In order to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries, three more agreements on cooperation in tourism, environment, education, science and technology were signed.
