Azerbaijani gunfire causes material damage in border villages
Border villages in Tavush province of Armenia were under heavy gunfire of Azerbaijani troops from 3:00 pm till evening yesterday, on April 24. The Armenian side had no casualties, but material damage was done.
The administrator of Chinari village Samvel Saghoyan told Aysor.am the Azerbaijani side fired at homes, damaging roofs. “Thank God! It is peaceful today. Our servicemen on duty suppressed the enemy’s actions,” he said.
According to Movses village administrator Ararat Avalian , the gunfire continued until 11 pm. “They fired from DShKs and sniper rifles, including “Black Arrows”. Glasses were broken and roofs damaged,” Avalian said.
It is noteworthy that today the OSCE Mission plans to conduct a monitoring in the direction of Aygepar village, which also came under fire yesterday.
