Erdoğan expects the support of the Jews
On arriving to the USA the PM of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a meeting with the heads of the Jewish organizations in the USA. As the periodical Nouvelle d’Armenie informs, the main issue of the discussion has been the present state of Armenian – Turkish relations and the possibility of recognizing the Armenian Genocide by the USA.
The source also mentions that at the meeting with Erdoğan were present Abraham Foxman the head of the “Anti-Defamation League” organization. It is the third Erdoğan – Foxman meeting.
Foxman is the head of one of the most influential Jewish organizations, who in 2007 on August had announced that he conceders the Armenian Genocide an undeniable reality, which made a strong repercussion in Ankara. But the officials of Turkey managed to change the mind of Foxman who in one week announced that he will disturb the recognition of Armenian Genocide by the USA Congress.
