The “Komotas” week finished in France
On October 18 in Paris in the prominent Sal Gavo took place a big concert which closed the week dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Komitas in France.
As the information and press department of the RA Foreign Ministry informs on the concert were present Frederic Mitterrand, the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the political, public, scientific and culture dealers and prominent personalities.
The works of Komitas played Svetlana Navasardyan, singers Barsegh Tumanyan, Julietta Galstyan and Hasmik Torosyan, “Nairi” choir by the conduction of Hayk Davtyan, “Arpejion” quartet, and performance of the Armenian state camera choir conducted by Robert Melikyan.
The week dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Komitas started on October 13 in the home of the world cultures of Paris by the lecture-concert during which the musicians Mher Navoyan from Armenia and Antony Jirar from France represented the life of Komitas and his works, and his role in the development of the Armenian national and world music.
The Komitas week was being held under the patronage of the Armenian and French Ministries of Culture.
