Prince Harry to serve as helicopter pilot in Afghanistan
Prince Harry, the younger son of Charles and the late Princess Diana, has passed the final exams to become an army helicopter pilot and will join the British military forces in Afghanistan early in 2011.
"Instructors assessed Prince Harry as capable of being an Apache or a Lynx pilot," said in the statement by the British Ministry of Defense.
"To get out to Afghanistan again would be fantastic and my best chance is to do it from a helicopter," Prince Harry said last year. "I'm really enjoying it and, as everyone knows, it's my easiest way of getting back to the front line. Maybe safer, maybe not, I don't know."
