Vladimir Hakobian gets rid of the status of tournament’s outsider

In round eleven of the FIDE Grand Prix among men, taking place in Russia’s Astrakhan, Armenia’s Grand Master Vladimir Hakobian with black played in draw against Hungarian Peter Leko and scored half a point.

In the next round he won over Ukraine’s player Vassily Ivanchuk and got rid of the status of tournament’s outsider.
