At least 38 killed in Bangladesh floods

At least 38 people have been killed when heavy rain triggered landslides in south-eastern regions of Bangladesh, Associated Press reported citing officials. BBC reported 38 fatalities.

Government official Giasuddin Ahmed said at the moment seven soldiers are missing.

In the worst affected area of Teknaf at least 25 people were killed and six missing, local official A.N.M Nazim Uddin told AFP.

Rescue operations are still continuing but rain is hampering efforts.
