GM Zaven Andriasian beat IM Yochanan Afek (Israel), Vahe Baghdasaryan beat GM Mark Bluvshtein (Canada) in round 1 of the main tournament of chess festival in Groningen, Netherlands.

Participant of Open C, Anna-Maja Kazarian (Netherlands) also won round 1, armchess.am reports.
